Komal and Akshay are the 5th generation of the gorgeous Mooleh Manay Estate located in Suntikoopa, Coorg. Having spent the larger part of a decade in the UK, they moved back to India a few years back to work on making Indian speciality coffee more accessible to roasters across the world. This honey sun-dried lot was one of the coffees that really stood out when we visited them during the last harvest, and boy were we pleased when we got our hands on this.
The coffee had a natural sweetness and notes of chocolate which we thought would be remarkable as an espresso. We roasted this to a medium, but the profile is more geared towards yummy modern espresso and milk-based drinks. We love this black and with milk equally!
