Tasting notes: Blackberry Jam, Passionfruit, and Kiwi
Harley Estate is one of India’s finest coffee plantations with a rich history of innovation, excellent processing and award-winning coffees galore. Run by Mr D.M Purnesh and his daughters Tapaswini and Chandini, they make use of state-of-the-art growing, and processing techniques along with some incredibly designed fermentations to produce some truly spectacular coffees.
When we visited them, their natural coffees weren’t quite ready for sampling, but having seen and smelt them we knew they were going to be pretty special! This classic naturals is one that didn’t need any additional fermentation to be one of the most delicious coffees we tasted this year. A super sweet cup, we were able to roast this really light and still get a burst of berries, crisp acidity and a jammy finish. Like all of the experimental lots, this one is great as a filter and lovers of light roast espresso!
