The MS Estate is spread over 1000 acres, but this nano-lot comes from just 400 plants of the Red Bourbon variety that were planted in 2015. Half a bag serendipitously found its way to us two years ago. This year, Rohan was able to give us a bit more of one of our favourite washed coffees. We have a little over half a bag but this time this gorgeous coffee has gotten even better!
We have roasted this pretty light, which has resulted in a crisp, sweet acidity and citrus notes of Malta, a strong aroma of Jasmine and a juicy peachy finish. This coffee really shines through as a filter in a pour-over, but the 2022 Red Bourbon also makes a ridiculous espresso!
