We are one of the leading wholesale coffee suppliers in the country and work closely with over 150 outlets all over India. Our focus on wholesale coffee allows to reach thousands of coffee lovers in the country with our coffees and also help fellow coffee entreprenuers to create amazing coffee experiences for them. Through wholesale partnering we are also able to help train, equip and uplift Indian baristas, who we feel are in most dire need of same, and who are the most critical cog in whole Indian speciality coffee community.
Roasting Approach
The perception of coffee being a bitter beverage, made just to wake you up is changing! We want to make you experience just how delicious, and flavourful great coffee can be! We work with passionate planters who put their heart into the coffee, and then we roast the beans in small lots with tonnes care and love. For us coffee deserves to be savoured just like a fine glass of wine or a great single malt!
This guides our roasting profiles. We like to roast our coffees to bring out it's inherent sweetness, and complexity without taking away from it's origin, variety, and the processing. Our coffees are generally roasted a bit lighter than what you would get from other roasters, to achieve the this.
We believe that through our roasting approach we are able to create coffees that work very well across different brew methods. Our coffees are categorised by roast level which is defined primarily by the colour of the coffee beans. But irrespective of the roast level, our coffees are fun and easy to brew across different brew methods.
Green Coffee Approach
We work with some of the most passionate farmers in the country who work tirelessly to grow and process delicious, traceable coffees. With the recent advances in processing techniques, there's a growing trend towards more funky coffees, but we tend to go for cleaner flavour profiles that reflect the origin, and the variety, where the processing adds a subtle layer of complexity rather than masking the actual flavour of the coffee. We also love robustas ❤️ and source some yummy rosbutas that really push the envelope of the traditional perception of Robustas
Wholesale Partnering
At Bloom Coffee Roasters, we are super passionate about the amazing Indian coffee community. For us the best way to engage and enhance it was to partner with like minded cafes and coffee businesses to reach to as many as possible. Through thoughtful design and meticulous trainings, we have been able to partner with over 150 cafes/businesses in the country, most of whom are small independant cafes who are striving to take Indian Speciality coffee to the next level. These are the champions of our community, the coffee lovers who take the plunge into becoming coffee professionals. We decided to go way beyond just supplying coffee, we partner with these cafes closely and help them at each step of starting, optimising and running an incredible coffee business. Supporting them with everything they need in their effort to create their expression of coffee.
In this process we have met so many wonderful people who share the same love for speciality coffee as us, and so many of whom now we are proud to call friends. Isn't that what coffee is really about?
The founders
Bloom Coffee Roasters blossomed from the shared passion for coffee among three close friends - essentially brothers - Sharang, Tejasvi, and Shivansh. Their bond, cultivated over countless coffee gatherings (with a sprinkle of other beverages), naturally led them to a profound adoration for coffee, sparking the inception of a roastery. Despite diverse academic and professional paths, their unified love for coffee and the vibrant coffee community brought them together.
The 2019 Indian Aeropress Championships acted as a catalyst, propelling them into the intricate world of coffee roasting. Not even a chaotic pandemic, arriving just a month after launching BCR, could deter them from their mission: crafting delectable specialty coffee that's both inviting and accessible to all, while elevating the coffee standards in the cafes they collaborated with.
Throughout the past three years, they've meticulously refined their expertise, drawing insights from global leaders in specialty coffee. From earning prestigious SCA certifications to engaging in a myriad of workshops and learnings led by industry luminaries, they've earned recognition as esteemed coffee professionals within the Indian coffee sphere. Their discerning judgment has graced numerous local and national competitions. Yet, their thirst for coffee knowledge remains unquenchable. Each day finds them approaching their craft with the same eagerness and commitment to learning as they did when they embarked on this exhilarating journey.
