Balanoor Plantations - Hybrid
A small experimental washed lot from Balanoor Plantations in Chikmagalur, grown at 1250 MASL by Ashok and Rohan Kuriyan. It comes from a hybrid variety the estate is trialling for the future.
This variety is being explored as a more sustainable, climate-resilient path for Indian coffee. It is pulped, rested overnight, then classically washed and very well sorted, the same care the Kuriyans give every lot.
Expect raisin, melon, cocoa, and orange marmalade. A limited single-origin release, and a genuine look at where Indian coffee can go next. Best for expressive pour overs, bright espressos, and small fruity milk drinks.
