Kerehaklu Estate
A Selection 9 Arabica from the Mavinahatti Upper block at Kerehaklu, Chikmagalur, produced by Ajoy and Pranoy Thipaiah at around 1160 MASL. It's our first time working with Pranoy, and we're stoked to be launching this micro lot.
The block itself tells the story: gajje lemon and avocado in the understory, cluster figs and Indian redcedar in the canopy, and red iron-rich soil with strong microbial activity. Processed as a Blossom Culture Washed lot — 43 hours of anoxic fermentation, then 19 days drying in a polyhouse, hand-raked every 30 minutes on raised beds.
Expect black tea, dates, and citrus fruit, with creamy sweetness, banana, and a jammy finish. A distinctive, layered light roast. Best for expressive pour overs, bright espressos, and small fruity milk drinks.
